Rising out of the darkness of PTSD:
Could telepathic interspecies communication
contribute to the healing benefits for warrior veterans
working with therapy equines?
This study will build on my earlier pilot research to continue exploration that telepathic communication between humans and domestic therapy equines (Equus ferus caballus) may be possible with a human utilizing contemplative/meditative techniques to quiet their mind and shift consciousness. This will be a larger study, with multiple professional animal communicators, multiple therapy facilities, and 20+ veterans involved.
Enabling communication between veterans suffering from combat-related posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and their horses in an animal therapy program could strengthen and support the relationship with their therapy horses, leading to increased emotional and spiritual healing for the veterans. The significance of this research directly relates to the study of horse-human interaction, specifically on the impact of horses supporting healing therapeutic methods for wounded military veterans.
